Ogallala Quilter's Society
The main attraction at each year's festival is the beautiful display of quilt entries. There are over 20 categories to choose from for your quilt entry. Awards for each category include First, Second, Third and Honorable Mention. Overall awards include Best of Show, Best Design, Best Color, Best Hand Quilting, and Best Machine Quilting.
NOTE: Read, read and re-read the Quilt Entry Form and the Quilt Entry Rules. Hours are spent each year by the show chairperson calling because information is incomplete or unreadable. Your help in this area is GREATLY appreciated.
Junior Category Quilt Entry Form
The same Quilt Entry Rules applies to the Junior Category.
The Ogallala Quilters’ Society will have a category specifically for the new generation of quilters – those 18 years of age and under. Awards will be give in two age groups; 9-11 and 12-18.
Best of Show among all ages will be awarded a brand new sewing machine. We are very fortunate to have private donors to help sponsor the prizes for this category.
If you are 18 or under and would like to enter a quilt, use this form to submit your quilt entries.
Please review the Entry Form Rules to make sure the proper requirements are met.
Quilt Entry form must be mailed.
Each entry form must accompany a photograph of the completed quilt tops.
Remember, Your quilt's image (photograph) is all that the committee sees to determine category eligibility of your quilt for judging. No photographs of works in progress. Your quilt DOES NOT have to be completed (quilted and bound) at the time you send in your quilt entry.
Please make sure your entry form is COMPLETE - all questions on the form must be answered! Don't forget to include your entry fees when mailing your form.
The actual quilt to hang in the show does not need to be delivered until March 28, 2017 to the Activity Center in Dimmitt, or to the Drop-off locations. Be sure to see dates and times for the Drop-off locations here.
